About

I was born in 1974 in Mutlangen, Germany. I grew up in Bandırma, Turkey. After graduating in music technology department in 1996 from Dokuz Eylul University, I joined the Yeni-Asır TV that was supported by the national broadcast company named ATV in Turkey, where I served as a sound-audio operator. During my more than one hundred built-in or mobile broadcasting, I focused on many subfields such as signal flow, system setups, etc. I received a BSc. in 2000 and a Ph.D. degree in 2006 in music technology from Dokuz Eylul University, Izmir, Turkey. I arranged many soundtracks for film and documentary with all these.

My main research interest is in three major topics: Music Information Retrieval, MIDI  and Professional Audio System Configuration. My researches in Music Information Retrieval involves mainly music perception. Additionally, my researches also include melody extraction. MIDI  research includes MIDI architechture, syncronization, hardware etc. Audio System Configuration includes especially dealing with audio signal flow on professional recording studios, sound reinforcements and broadcasting.
